Bosnia & Herzegovina – A Different World Just One Hour from Split

Many visitors to Split don't realise that in less than two hours of riding they can find themselves in a completely different world. Bosnia and Herzegovina offers a stunning contrast to coastal Dalmatia: mountains, rivers, a different architecture, ćevapi and Bosnian coffee, and the warmth and hospitality of a people unlike any other.

The Kamensko or Trilj-Grude border crossings are the closest from Split. When you rent from Moto Andro, we provide all the necessary documentation for crossing into Bosnia – no complications, no hassle.

Mostar – The City That Takes Your Breath Away

Mostar is the first unmissable stop. The Old Bridge (Stari Most), a 16th-century structure rebuilt after the war, is a symbol of reconciliation and extraordinary beauty. Walking through the old bazaar, past türbe shrines, mosques and traditional craft shops gives you an experience you simply cannot have in Split.

The road from Split to Mostar winds through the Imotska krajina highlands and down the Neretva valley – one of the most beautiful rides in the entire region. It's worth staying at least one night in Mostar.

Konjic, Blidinje and a Mountain Loop Through Bosnia

For those who want more than Mostar, the route through Konjic toward Lake Blidinje and on to Jablanica offers spectacular mountain scenery. Konjic is famous for white-water rafting on the Neretva river and an impressive wooden bridge. Blidinje is a mountain lake and nature park sitting at 1,184 metres above sea level.

This route is ideal for adventure motorcycles like the Honda Transalp 750 or Yamaha Ténéré 700, both available at Moto Andro. Long, winding, clean air and minimal traffic – exactly what a real moto journey should feel like.
